LE CANARD FRANÇAIS. During the holidays in the beginning of december i left the cold Madrid and headed to Barcelona after moths away from my old hometown. Of course it was the day when it was raining in always so sunny and warm barcelona. But fuck that, i had a car waiting for me and before i had said hola our spanish-uruguayan-french-finnish-group were already on the road to the north. We hit the border soon with masses of spanish cars getting away with us for a long weekend. It was strange when i realized in the gas station that i cant really speak anything the people would understand. It feels stupid. like you suddenly lost half of your intelligence. But well, people in the south of france understood well spanish and also english, which for me after visiting only paris in france was hard to believe. So it seemed for me that its not everywhere in france that people are arrogant and rude. And as we visited a picturesque middle-age town Carcassonne walking the ancient streets on the hill surround by stone houses and sitting a while in a café for a hot chocolate and a crêpe and in the evening wandering the streets of Toulouse, stomach full of delicious duck dishes, the specialities of the southern regions of France. Fat French Duck and its smoothy and deliciusly greasy liver (preferibly fried in its own fat in pan) being of course the first thing i remember from the trip I was also very impressed by the atmosphere of Toulouse, its really nice little city and the people are relaxed. And great student parties! heh heh. Well that was not all. After having a good lunch in Toulouse next day we directed the van towards the big forests and Armagnac region. After riding some hours passing small towns, dark green forests and fields with dears eating the grass and after changing all the time to smaller roads we finally arrived to big country house of parents of Elise. And the next days passed us by us eating all the good foods of Elise mother and drinking the fine armagnac of her uncles´ at the old distillery nearby. We made a ride around the french Basque-country which was really beautiful, especially the atlantic sea of course. It rored with all the powers and hitted hard the sandy and rocky beaches. The big waves climed the high walls of Biarrits and almost drowned all the city under the power of the kingdoms of waters. Impressing.

Here some photos from atlantic coast.
